Overview

LateBack ("we", "us", "our") helps you automatically recover refunds for late package deliveries. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

When you connect your Google account, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and profile picture from Google
• Read-only access to your Gmail to identify shipping notification emails from FedEx, UPS, and USPS
• Tracking numbers and delivery dates extracted from those emails
• Payment method information (stored securely by Stripe — we never see your full card number)

How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide the LateBack service:

• Scanning your Gmail for shipping emails to detect late deliveries
• Checking delivery status with carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS)
• Filing refund claims on your behalf for late shipments
• Charging our 25% commission fee via Stripe when a refund is recovered
• Sending you notifications about your refund status

We do not sell your data. We do not use your Gmail data for advertising. We do not read any emails other than shipping notifications from recognized carriers.

Gmail Access

LateBack requests read-only Gmail access. We only access emails from FedEx, UPS, and USPS. We never read personal emails, send emails on your behalf, delete emails, or modify your inbox in any way.

Our use of data obtained through Gmail APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in a secure hosted database (Turso/SQLite). We retain your shipment and claim data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.

Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth — for authentication and Gmail access
• Stripe — for secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Railway — for application hosting
• Turso — for database hosting

Your Rights

You may revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google account settings. You can also request that we delete all your data by contacting us at the email below.
